Hi @adafruit!

I have a question related to trinket 5v, yesterday, I tried to upload the neopixel example in the Arduino IDE, but I can’t the problem is: the board is not connected / the COM port is not available. (I downloaded the drivers)

What can I do to solve this situation?

  7. (1)Operating Arduino requires loading the computer with the Arduino IDE, software which operates Arduino hardware.
    (2)In order to operate the Arduino UNO hardware properly from the Arduino IDE software it is necessary to connect a special USB cable to the computer,
    which supplies limited amount of electrical power to the Arduino UNO internal power supply.
    (3) It is necessary that the computer supply at least NO LESS than +6v through the USB cable. IF the computer supplies only +5v the Arduino might work
    but it will NOT work as designed !
    In that case the Arduino must be supplied electrical power through a separate Arduino connector !

    Check the voltage that te computer supplies to the Arduino UNO which is the simplest of a variety of Arduino models.
