You can get more information using the link in the description, but for now let’s get moving step. 1 download the arduino project browse to cohesive computing code at UK, slash help download the LCD menu sample project you’ll, see in Arduino project and some XML files open one of the files and copy the contents to the clipboard. We need this for the next step step. Two use the online menu builder from the help web page navigate to the online menu builder pasting. The XML from the previous step and click build menu code then copy the output to the clipboard for the next step. Step3 builds the arduino project openly. Arduino projects downloaded from step one and click on the menu data, dot, H tab, delete the existing content from the file and paste the contents of the clipboard. From the previous step build and upload the code to your Arduino step. Four test: your menu. You can refine your menu by modifying your XML and repeating steps 2. Amp. 3. You, you can download the source code for account timer with multiple profiles that is configurable with a menu press and hold the up button to enter the menu. Here. We have access to some of the top level items we’re going to change timer, one time, duration to five seconds. We can also turn off button beeps if they get too annoying and change the backlight brightness settings once we exit the menu we have access to.

One of the three timers pressing selects will start or stop the timer and holding it down will reset. It will start the timer again and wait for it to count down to zero, at which point the alarm will sound. If you found this guide useful, please subscribe.

  1. Arduino: 1.6.5 (Windows 7), Board: “Arduino/Genuino Uno”

LcdMenuTemplate.ino:4:22: fatal error: TimerOne.h: No such file or directory
    compilation terminated.
    Error compiling.

This report would have more information with
    “Show verbose output during compilation”
    enabled in File > Preferences.

  2. really like your menu system (Template 4). I would like to use it a change the LEFT button (long and short press) to go back to the parent item (if there is one-which I can add). Is that possible?

  3. thanks for this woldenfull library, I want use a key 4×4 for do the menu orden maybe can you explain where to mod the code for use the key pad

    1. In function getNavAction() in the main project file, you can convert your own input sources to menu navigation commands.

  4. sketch_may25a\sketch_may25a.ino:3:25: fatal error: MenuManager.h: No such file or directory

    #include “MenuManager.h”

    ^

    compilation terminated.

    exit status 1
Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno.

    ….
what i can do to fix that ?

  5. Really good and useful tutorial, thank you Kashif. However my arduino doesn’t work as your one. Some buttons are not functional. For example, I can’t go to upper menu with right button. I have to reset in order to quit. Also left and down buttons have same function. Any idea about problem ? Many thanks.

  6. OK, I solved my button problem. New problem is LCD 2nd row. I only see an arrow that should indicate the values but there is no any character/value. Any idea ?

    1. Find the method refreshMenuDisplay() in the main project file. In there you’ll see a TODO comment for displaying values. That is where you should write code to display your own values.
