  1. First I’d like to say good job on your set up. It seems to me you may have used jumper wires to keep a consistent speed on the trains. I’m setting up a large track configuration. Can you point me in the right direction on how to set things up right so I get a consistent speed through out the entire model. I’m also building mountain that specific trains will be going up the mountain. In addition I’d like to set up sensors so specific trains will start when it hits a specific point in the track and another train will start. Anyone willing to give me proper advise I’d appreciate the help.

    1. Keeping the speed consistent is very difficult. I try to use multiple regulators to achieve that. For controlling the trains, you need a microcontroller like Arduino or a Pi, motor drivers for powering the tracks like L293D or L298 and for sensors I use Polulu distance sensors (5 cm)
